Gopalpur is a dynamic confluence of nature, aquatic flora & fauna. In recognition to this diverse character, Brahmapur Development Authority (BDA) plans to harness its tourism potential.
BDA has identified a 45.44 acre site in Gopalpur, close to the beach. The site lies on the Gopalpur- Taptapani tourist circuit, which has some important tourist attractions. Creation of a tourism-centric development would provide the much-needed impetus to the economy and generate employment opportunities.
In order to capitalize on the opportunities presented by these attributes, BDA aspires to develop a tourism hub on government owned land consisting of a Wellness resort, Hotel zone, Marine Museum, Public Beach Promenade and Art & folk cultural center. The Authority wishes to induce private participation for the proposed development in order to enhance the Tourism potential of the Beach town.
Area: 45.44 acres
Estimated project cost: 896 crores
